"I want to make sure that my music says something of substance. I want to make sure if a kid looks up to me as a role model, that it will be a good thing and not a bad thing. Every song on the radio is actually preaching something, whether we want to admit it or not. Unfortunately, so much of what’s out there today is negative to the point that it can actually hurt the listeners.
I just want to bring a positive balance to the game. So I choose to make music that promotes ideas and values that will help people deal with their daily struggles - music that will give them answers to their problems. And then of course something for when they just want to jam some good music."
